Have you ever wanted to take your video content to the next level and drive your audience to take action? Loom, the popular video messaging platform, offers a fantastic feature that allows you to add a call to action (CTA) button to your videos. Whether you're creating tutorial videos, personal messages, webinars, courses, or any content where you need to guide your viewers, this feature can make a significant difference. In this guide, we'll show you how to seamlessly add a CTA button to your Loom videos.

1. Logging into Loom and Accessing the Video

First, make sure you're logged into your Loom account. While you can use the free version, the paid version offers more options for customization. To add a CTA button to your video, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the video you want to enhance within your Loom account.
  2. On the right-hand side, you'll find the "Edit" button. Click on it.

2. Adding the CTA Button

Once you've entered the editing mode, scroll down to find the "Add Link" option. Here, you have a range of customization options:

  1. URL: Enter the appropriate URL that your CTA button will link to.
  2. Button Text: Customize the text on your CTA button to match your specific call to action, whether it's "Download Now" or "Click Here."

3. Choosing Button Location and Customization

Your CTA button's placement can be one of the following: left, right, top-left, or top-right. Unfortunately, you can't freely move the button around the screen, so choose the location that best suits your video's layout.

However, the exciting part is that you can fully customize the button to align with your brand. This includes selecting your brand's colors for both the background and font color. You can also decide whether your button should be rounded, square, or slightly rounded, ensuring it blends seamlessly with your brand's style.

4. Controlling When the CTA Appears

You can decide when the CTA button should appear during your video:

  1. Only Show at the End of the Video: This setting requires the viewer to watch the entire video before the CTA appears. This is perfect for sales pitches or courses where you want to lead your audience to the end before presenting the CTA

After making your selection, remember to hit the "Save" button.

5. Testing Your CTA Button

Before publishing your video with the CTA button, it's essential to test it. The best way to do this is by opening your video in an incognito window. Here's how:

  1. On a Mac, you can do this by pressing Command + Shift + N. This allows you to view the video as your audience would, without being logged into Loom.

You'll see your CTA button on the video. In the incognito window, click on the button to ensure it redirects to the correct URL you specified, verifying that your CTA works as intended.

6. Boosting Engagement with Your CTA

Adding a CTA button to your Loom videos can significantly enhance viewer engagement and guide them to take action. Whether it's subscribing, downloading, or clicking through to another website, this feature is a game-changer for content creators looking to make the most of their videos.

So, why not start experimenting with CTA buttons on your Loom videos today? It's an excellent way to interact with your audience and drive them to the actions you desire.
